Texas Instruments TAS6424-Q1 Class-D Audio Amplifier

Texas Instruments TAS6424-Q1 Class-D Audio Amplifier is a four-channel digital input Class-D audio amplifier designed for automotive head units and external amplifier modules. The device provides four channels at 27W into 4Ω at 10% THD+N. It also provides 45W into 2Ω at 10% THD+N from a 14.4V supply and 75W into 4Ω at 10% THD+N from a 25V supply. The Class-D topology dramatically improves efficiency over traditional linear amplifier solutions. The output switching frequency can be set either above AM band or below AM. Above AM band eliminates the AM-band interference and reduces output filtering and cost. Below AM band allows the designer to optimize efficiency. The wide supply voltage range of the Texas Instruments TAS6424-Q1, from 4.5V to 26.4V, helps minimize audio artifacts in start-stop applications.
