Texas Instruments LMR51603/LMR51603-Q1 Synchronous Buck Converters
Texas Instruments LMR51603/LMR51603-Q1 Synchronous Buck Converters drive up to 300mA of load current. The wide-VIN, easy-to-use, synchronous buck converter is designed for various industrial applications for power conditioning from an unregulated source, with a 4V to 65V wide input range.The TI LMR51603/LMR51603-Q1 converters operate at 400kHz switching frequency to support relatively small inductors for an optimized design dimension. The LMR51603/LMR51603-Q1 converters offer a pulse frequency modulation (PFM version) to achieve high efficiency at light load and forced pulse width modulation (FPWM version) to accomplish constant frequency and small output voltage ripple over the entire load range. Soft-start and compensation circuits are facilitated internally, which allows the device to be used with minimal external components.
The converters include built-in protection features, such as cycle-by-cycle current limit, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown in case of excessive power dissipation.
The LMR51603-Q1/LMR51603 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
