Qorvo ACT43850 RFPoL Step-Down DC-DC Power Converters

Qorvo ACT43850 RF Point-of-Load (RFPoL) Step-Down DC-DC Power Converters take the output from a Qorvo ACT43950 controller and step it down to a well-regulated voltage optimized for Qorvo GaN power amplifiers (PAs). The ACT43850's advanced configuration options enable RF system designers to reduce noise and electromagnetic interference (EMI), maximizing radar array performance. Qorvo ACT43850 RFPoL Step-Down DC-DC Power Converters can be integrated into a compact, three-stage power solution for phased array commercial and defense radar. The three-chip solution offers configurable GaN bias point autocalibration to maximize system performance for different GaN PAs without changing the board design. The chipset optimizes pulsed-energy storage capacitors in a phased array system to reduce capacitance by up to 90%. This innovative architecture reduces weight, has a significantly smaller footprint, and lowers overall operating costs.
