Mouser-Sponsored Rebellion Racing Gears Up for 24 Heures Du Mans

June 12, 2015 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the global authorized distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, and Rebellion Racing are shifting into high gear for this weekend's legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 13 and 14 in France.

The Mouser-sponsored Rebellion team, led by the popular German race car driver Nick Heidfeld, will race two new LMP1 cars powered by AER P60 V6 GDI twin-turbocharged engines from Advanced Engine Research, based in Basildon, Essex, UK. Known as the "Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency," the 24 Heures Du Mans is among the world's oldest known endurance race and part of the FIA WEC. It has occurred every year since its inception in 1923 near the French town of Le Mans. The team must balance speed with the car's ability to endure racing at top speeds for 24 hours without damaging the engine or mechanics.

This is the 83^rd running of the historic race that is among the most challenging in motorsports. Taking the wheel of the #12 Rebellion car will be drivers Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfeld and Mathias Beche. The #13 Rebellion car will be driven by Dominik "Do Do" Kraihamer, Alexandre Imperatori and Daniel Abt.
