Vishay BC 2381 Humidity Sensors are capacitive atmospheric humidity sensors. These sensors utilize a non-conductive foil, covered on both sides with a layer of gold. The dielectric constant, and therefore capacitance, of the foil changes based on the relative ambient temperature. This change in capacitance within the plastic housing can be measured to accurately measure humidity. Vishay BC 2381 Humidity Sensors can be mounted directly to a PCB through 2.54mm pitch thru-hole leads, and secured with 3mm bolts.
