Torex Semiconductor XC980x Regulated Voltage Step-Up Charge Pump ICs

Torex Semiconductor XC980x Regulated Voltage Step-Up Charge Pump ICs provide stable, highly efficient, positive voltages with the only external components required being two capacitors. Ripple current is minimal in these ICs since regulating is done via controlling the charge pump's gate voltage waveform. The output voltage is selectable in 100mV steps within a 2.5V to 6V range. The XC980x charge pump ICs switch to PFM (pulse skip) during light loads without impacting output impedance or ripple. This feature ensures the IC maintains high efficiency even under low load conditions.

The XC980x regulated voltage step-up charge pump ICs can be configured as voltage doublers by connecting the SENSE pin to the GND pin. Available in compact MSOP-8A, USP-8, and USP-8B05 packages, the XC980x ICs are ideal for various battery-operated applications because of their low current consumption and high efficiency. Other critical applications include power supplies for TFTs, power supplies for Opamps, smart cards, and onboard local power supplies.
