ROHM Semiconductor Stepper Motor Drivers offer a wide selection of products. These Stepper motor drives are with the performance features required for various applications including printers and copiers, PPC scanners, security cameras, robotics, sewing machines, factory automation, and other applications requiring precision motor control.

These Stepper Motor Drivers are low-power driver ICs supporting PWM current drive and feature a voltage range of 13.5V to 42V and a current range of 800mA to 3A. CLK-IN driving mode is adopted for the input interface. The Standard Stepper Motors offer excitation modes of FULL STEP, HALF STEP, and QUARTER STEP. The Micro Step Motor Drivers offer FULL STEP, HALF STEP, EIGHT STEP, and SIXTEENTH STEP modes. The ratio of FAST DECAY and SLOW DECAY can be freely set without limitation, allowing the Motor Driver IC to adapt to the optimum control conditions for any motor.

A built-in voltage regulator in most ROHM Stepper Motor Drivers eliminates the need for control sequencing during power ON/OFF to prevent circuit malfunctions. ROHM Stepper Motor Drivers also incorporate voltage, current, and thermal protection circuits for greater reliability and safety. Plus, ROHM’s exclusive Ghost Supply Prevention function prevents aberrant operation in OFF mode.

ROHM Stepper Motor Drivers feature a single-power-supply configuration, allowing for easy design and layout in the application. the ROHM Stepper Motor Series is offered in compact, heat-dissipating HTSSOP-B28 and HSOP-25 packages, simplifying the thermal design.
