Renesas Electronics 9DBU PCIe Clock Buffers
Renesas Electronics 9DBU PCI Express® (PCIe) Clock Buffers are ultra-low-power PCI Express buffers that operate from a 1.5V supply voltage. Designed to use the same supply voltage as modern systems-on-chip (SoCs) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), 9DBU Clock Buffers enable designers to consolidate power rails, which reduces system complexity, physical size, and power consumption. The ultra-low power consumption reduces heat dissipation to ease cooling requirements. These clock buffers meet PCIe Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 performance requirements and can be reused through several generations of products. Renesas / IDT offers the 9DBU PCI Express Clock Buffers in 2 to 9-output configurations with and without non-PLL fan out and PLL zero-delay-buffer modes to address virtually any PCIe application.Features
- LP-HCSL outputs; save 4 resistors compared to standard HCSL outputs
- 35mW typical power consumption in PLL mode; minimal power consumption
- OE# pins; support DIF power management
- HCSL compatible differential input; can be driven by common clock sources
- LP-HCSL differential clock outputs; reduced power and board space
- Programmable Slew Rate for each output; allows tuning for various line lengths
- Programmable output amplitude; allows tuning for various application environments
- Pin/software selectable PLL bandwidth and PLL Bypass; minimize phase jitter for each application
- Outputs blocked until PLL is locked; clean system start-up
- Configuration can be accomplished with strapping pins; SMBus interface not required for device control
- 3.3V tolerant SMBus interface works with legacy controllers
- Space-saving VFQFPN packages ranging from 4mm x 4mm to 6mm x 6mm; minimal board space
