Pulse Electronics PA5140/41 Series SMT Common Mode Chokes
Pulse Electronics PA5140/41 Series Surface Mount (SMT) Common Mode Chokes are developed using the fully automated round wire coil forming technology. This new self-leaded round wire coil technology allows for larger wire/higher current carrying capability in a more compact construction. The PA5140/41 common-mode chokes offer 1000VRMS isolation voltage and provide inductances from 110µH to 470µH with currents up to 32A. These common-mode chokes are available in 18mm x 19mm x 19mm (EP18) and 23mm x 23mm x 23mm (EP22) size platforms. These EP cores are designed around the coil dimension to minimize the component size and offer a higher-density inductance/current solution. The PA5140/41 Series SMT common-mode chokes use high permeability ferrite material that minimizes the number of windings and therefore the DC resistance. This results in a much higher current rating than other similarly sized common mode chokes. These chokes are well suited for high switching frequency applications like aerospace, computing, industrial, data communications, and other next-generation designs.
