Microchip Technology SHA104 Authentication ICs
Microchip Technology SHA104 Authentication ICs are designed to provide 128 bits of symmetric security targeted for disposable and ecosystem control applications. These authentication ICs are intended to be used as companion devices and are microcontroller/microprocessor agnostic. The SHA104 authentication ICs can be used in systems where the host can assist in the authentication by using a challenge-response pair. For more security, these ICs can also be used with a host-side security device to perform a CheckMAC operation. These authentication ICs can be used with the SHA105 or other Microchip CryptoAuthentication host-side devices. Applications include disposables and accessory authentication, ecosystem control, and anti-cloning.
