Aavid ES Aluminum Flat Tube Oil Coolers are designed for optimum cooling with poor heat transfer fluids such as oil and Ethylene Glycol/Water (EGW) mixtures. Unique aluminum flat tube technology allows multiple extended surface channels in each tube that provides maximum cooling due to the large surface area in contact with the fluid. Air-side fin geometry efficiently channels air across the fin surface to further boost heat transfer capability. The fluxless vacuum-brazed construction of the oil coolers results in a clean, rugged, lightweight, and highly reliable heat exchanger with excellent thermal contact and mechanical strength. The ES Aluminum Flat Tube Oil Coolers offer a very low-pressure drop allowing smaller, less expensive pumps to be used. These oil coolers are ideal for liquid-to-air cooling x-ray tubes, aircraft engines, hydraulic fluid, high-speed spindles, and more.
