Los procesadores 6SoloX i.MX de Freescale incluyen procesamiento heterogéneo con núcleos ARM® Cortex®-A9 y Cortex®-M4. El 6SoloX i.MX está diseñado para permitir hogares y vehículos conectados y seguros para aplicaciones de Internet de las Cosas (IoT). El 6SoloX i.MX es el primer procesador ARM que utiliza los dos núcleos Cortex-A9 y Cortex-M4. Esto aporta la flexibilidad de un chip que puede ejecutar un SO sofisticado con el Cortex-A9 y también la capacidad de respuesta en tiempo real y el control del sistema con el núcleo Cortex-M4.
