TCA9848 1MHz 8-Channel I2C Switch

Texas Instruments TCA9848 1MHz 8-Channel I2C Switch has eight bidirectional translating switches that can be controlled through the I2C bus. The SCL/SDA upstream pair fans out to eight downstream channels or pairs. Any combination of channels or any individual SCn/SDn channel can be selected, as determined by the programmable control register contents. These downstream channels can be used to resolve I2C target address conflicts. If eight identical digital temperature sensors are needed in the application, one sensor can be connected to each channel (0-7), for example.
