MLVC Surface-Mount Chip Multilayer Varistors

Eaton Electronics MLVC Surface-Mount Chip Multilayer Varistors (MLVs) feature nine footprint options from 0402 to 4032 and are designed to absorb high-transient volts. The fast response time of the MLVC MLVs is ideal for handheld devices, game console USB ports, media players, and medical equipment. The series includes a standard type with working voltage up to 68VDC and peak current rating up to 35A and a high energy type with up to 200VDC working voltage and up to 1200A peak current rating.

5G Applications

Eaton Electronics offers an expansive portfolio of high-reliability components needed to drive 5G forward. Because 5G telecommunication units are typically placed in rugged environments, continuous uptime requirements for their operation and the reliability of the internal electronics are of great importance. A variety of components, often passives, can be readily added in key locations within 5G communications systems to enhance reliability and mitigate subcircuits susceptible to electrostatic discharge (ESD), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and electromagnetic pulse (EMP). Eaton 5G products can withstand harsh environments while delivering high performance.

Battery Management Systems

Eaton provides a wide portfolio of products for Battery Management Systems (BMS), including terminal blocks, fuses, supercapacitors, chokes, inductors, and more. Battery Management Systems monitor individual cells, system voltage, current, and temperature. When monitoring individual cells, the BMS balances voltages and regulates the current flow, and if the upper or lower voltage, current, or temperature limit is exceeded, the BMS temporarily disconnects the load or source. Eaton Battery Management Systems estimate the State of Health (SoH), State of Charge (SoC), State of Energy (SoE), and State of Power (SoP) in batteries.

MLV ESD Suppression Multilayer Varistors

Eaton MLV ESD Suppression Multilayer Varistors are surface-mount varistors that provide reliable protection for electronic circuits against electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrically fast transients (EFT), and transients resulting from inductive load switching. These varistors are ideal for the protection of I/O interfaces, as well as components and circuits sensitive to overvoltage and surge transients occurring on power supplies, control, and signal lines. The MLVs are offered in working voltages ranging from 5.5VDC to 385VDC and footprints ranging from 0201 to 4032.
