Analog Devices Inc. AD4001/AD4005 16-Bit Differential SAR ADCs
Analog Devices Inc. AD4001/AD4005 16-Bit Differential Successive Approximation Register (SAR) ADCs feature low noise, low power, and high speed. The AD4001 ADCs offer a 2MSPS throughput, and the AD4005 ADCs offer a 1MSPS throughput. These 16-bit SAR ADCs operate from a 1.8V single-supply voltage with a 1.71V to 5.5V logic interface. The AD4001/AD4005 ADCs feature a long acquisition phase, input span compression, high-Z mode, input overvoltage clamp circuit, and fast conversion time, allowing low SPI clock rates.The AD4001/AD4005 ADCs are compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, and 5V logic using the separate VIO supply. These 16-bit ADCs offer the ability to daisy-chain multiple ADCs and busy indicators. The ADCs are available in 10-lead 3mm x 3mm LFCSP and 3mm x 4.90mm MSOP packages and operate in a -40°C to +125°C temperature range. Typical applications include battery-powered equipment, precision data acquisition systems, automatic test equipment, and machine automation.
