PD69101 PoE Controller

Microsemi / Microchip PD69101 Power over Ethernet (PoE) Controller is a single-port, mixed-signal, high-voltage controller used in Ethernet switches to enable network devices to share power and data over the same cable. This controller detects IEEE 802.3af-2003-compliant powered devices and IEEE 802.3at high-power devices to ensure safe power feeding. The PD69101 can detect legacy/pre-standard PD devices. The controller disables disconnected ports using DC disconnection methods per IEEE 802.3af-2003 and IEEE 802.3ar-2009 standards. This plug-and-play device executes all real-time functions defined in the IEEE 802.3af-2003 (AF) and IEEE 802.3at High Power (AT) standards. These real-time functions include load detection, AF and AT classification, and multiple classification attempts (MCA).

Power over Ethernet (PoE) PSE & PD ICs

Microsemi / Microchip Power over Ethernet (PoE) ICs include PSE ICs and PD ICs that are specifically designed for Ethernet networking applications in multiple settings. Microsemi / Microchip Power Sourcing Equipment ICs feature 1 to 12 ports and modules of up to 24 ports. These PSE ICs can deliver up to 95W over a single Category 5 cable. Power Delivery (PD) chips come with and without integrated Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controllers, which can be used as a compact way to convert PoE input power to one or more output voltages in a Powered Device.

Microsemi PoE solutions comprise PoE ICs and PoE injectors/systems that are cost-effective and offer a high integration level.
