Infineon TLE500x/TLE501x Magnetic Angle Sensors are designed with a magnetic angle sensing principle that is based on proven, automotive-qualified integrated Giant Magneto Resistive (iGMR) technology. iGMR technology combines magneto resistive sensing elements with integrated circuits in one chip. These devices can determine the absolute orientation of a magnetic field over the full range between 0° and 360° with high angular accuracy and resolution. These products offer the benefits of integrated, fast signal processing, short delay times and multiple interface options. Typical applications include magnetic encoding, motor commutation, steering angle, and rotation position measurements.

TLE5009A16 (D) Angle Sensor

Infineon Technologies TLE5009A16D Angle Sensor features analog outputs and is a dual-die sensor that detects the orientation of a magnetic field. This sensor monitors the magnetic field by measuring sine and cosine components with Giant Magneto Resistive (iGMR) elements. It provides analog sine and cosine output voltages that describe the magnet angle from 0° to 360°. The GMR bridge signals are independent of the magnetic field strength, and the output voltages are designed to use the dynamic range of an A/D converter, using the same supply for the sensor as the voltage reference. Infineon TLE5009A16D Angle Sensor dual-die design is ideal for safety applications that require redundancy because the two dies are supplied independently by separate supply and ground pins.
