These protective devices integrate discrete circuit protection devices into an assembly or system that provides enhanced functionality and protection. Based on Bourns' expertise in discrete circuit protection, the SPD product line includes protective devices for AC systems, DC power systems, signal data line circuits, and coaxial networks/CATV. Circuit Protection Devices

Bourns manufactures and supplies a wide range of circuit protection technologies, including fuses, PTC thermistors, varistors, GDTs, resettable thermal cut-offs, surge protection devices, hybrid protectors, discrete semiconductor solutions, and more. 1260 Series AC Hybrid Surge Protective Devices

Bourns 1260 Series AC Hybrid Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) offer an impulse current capacity of up to 25kA 10/350μs, IP20 environmental rating, and -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range. These SPDs feature a pluggable design for easy replacement and are designed to protect high-risk electrical service entrances and branch panels. Based on the advanced hybrid architecture (MOV + GDT technology), these SPDs provide excellent reliability and safety protection due to no leakage or follow current. This SPD is designed to be installed at the front end of the installation, in the main switchboard, close to sensitive terminals, or in installations without lightning rods. Bourns 1260 Series AC Hybrid SPDs are suitable for all power circuits, EV charging stations, and heavy industrial applications.
